Launched in 2013, the SAFE STEPS programme aims to provide communities with easy-to-understand, life-saving information. The programme delivers public service announcements to raise awareness and provide education on life-threatening issues, helping people stay safe during hazardous incidents and natural disasters.

This work is made possible through collaborations with key partners including:

  • The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and National Geographic for all programmes
  • The Federation Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) for SAFE STEPS Road Safety

Impact

Through multi-media distribution, SAFE STEPS has reached over 250 million people
across Asia and Africa between 2014 to 2020.
